B i o g r a p h y

An Israeli-born American Soprano, Amber Blair, holds a Bachelor in Music Education degree from Stetson University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida.  Noted for her “rich tone,” Amber has performed in numerous opera productions with Opera Tampa, The Opera Tampa Singers, St. Petersburg Opera, Opera Naples, the Tampa Spiritual Ensemble, and The Zielinski Singers.  She has also performed with the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and the Florida Orchestra under the baton of Stefan Sanderling.  She has had the privilege to share the stage with Samuel Ramey, Andrea Bocelli and sang under the direction of Placido Domingo.  In the spring of 2012, Amber made her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City. 

 

In addition to performing, Mrs. Blair is a former K-12 chorus teacher who has extensive experience in music education. She has served as the Florida Vocal Association District Chair for Hillsborough County. Mrs. Blair is an active member of the Florida Vocal Association, American Choral Directors Association, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing where she currently serves as the President of the Tampa Bay Chapter. She also serves as an adjudicator for solo & ensemble and the annual music performance assessments for the Florida Vocal Association. Mrs. Blair is a frequent guest clinician and served as the Tampa Bay Children's Chorus (now part of Lumina Youth Choirs) Assistant Director 2012-2014. Mrs. Blair has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Tampa and Hillsborough Community College

 

Mrs. Blair is level II certified in Somatic Voicework™ - The LoVetri Method in contemporary commercial music.
